Internet: Where were you this weekend?
Me: What do you mean? I was around.
Internet: You were with THEM weren’t you?
Me: Now listen, baby, don’t freak out.
Internet: I knew it. I knew it!
Me: They are my family.I need to spend time with them too.
Internet: How were they?
Me: Don’t do this.
Internet: Were they good?
Me: C’mon, baby, don’t be like this.
Internet: Were they good!?
Me: I was thinking of you the whole time.

I will quote all five of these until I die…and most likely posthumously.
4 years ago, yike.
Uh-oh Dom Mazzetti vs. Dubstep might be in the running now though. There are some pretty serious similes tossed in here. Either way you slice it, one of these (either a KFAN or Dom original) will be going on my tombstone.
Jonathan Brandis Is Dead
Came across this today. It’s a friend of a friend’s blog and the name of it is absolutely fantastic. For shits, I hit google and found this toe tag where his name was spelled wrong. Double bummer. Anyway, here’s the about section:
I don’t know why. Do I look like some kind of wikipedia of psychosocial insight? I’m not. Maybe you ‘re my friend, humoring me (probably). Maybe you’re my long-lost twin who was about to write the same thing and is sitting, stunned and weirded out, at your computer right now. (HIGHLY LIKELY). Maybe you just found out Jonathan Brandis is dead the hard way. I’m sorry.
Jonathan Brandis Is Dead, in case you couldn’t tell by the title, is a blog dedicated purely to scientific query and intense theological and philosophical discussion. It is also a place, once and for all, to confront the fact that Darwin the Dolphin was, indeed, a robot.
On Friday night our cat went missing (we were away “camping” in the rain). When we got back, we did things the old fashioned way: scrounged up a flashlight and some ponchos and hit the streets. We heard some pained Meows coming from the street behind our house. After a little while we came to the conclusion that they were coming from a car parked on the street. We knocked on some doors and found the owner of the car. She was a weirdo. We told her our cat was in her trunk or up in her hood. She looked skeptical and scetchballtible. We basically threatened her. She popped her hood and low and behold there was a kitten all up in her engine and shit (not ours but someone’s). That was disheartening but empowering. After some more searching, we called it quits.
The next day found us back on the pavement with sneakers and a bag of cat food. After some fruitless hours of on and off searching, we gave up, feeling defeated.
On Monday, I took to the Internets (Facebook). I posted a picture of her that said “Have you seen me?” And then posted a link I created on http://lookformycat.com/. I started getting some leads (small town America ain’t all bad). People were posting comments on my posts as well as my wife’s and any other friends that were sharing pictures. From these posts, we started tracing her steps and tracking her movements. But then a friend’s post hit the jackpot. Here are my posts for Kitty Watch 2011:
Hey Clinton, the Young family needs your help. We need you to keep your eyes open for our cat, Annie. When you’re walking into the Spill Zone for an afternoon bud heavy and you catch a pudgy furball peepin at ya let me know, if you’re getting your thrash on down at central park and there’s a short, fat, kitty up on ya let a bro know. We are gutted about this loss. Restore balance to our world.
Kitty Watch 2011 Update: Seems like she’s making her way down Water St. So, if your little bro has a little league game, or you’re hiding beers in the trash cans down there while shootin hoops, or you’re attempting to steal the port-a-john and failing and you see this cute little fucker, hook me up with a shout. God Bless.
This is what I picture when I think about Kitty Watch 2011: people working together. {Picture of Follow That Bird Movie Poster}
Kitty Watch 2011 Update: Annie may have been found and taken in. Waiting on confirmation. If it is indeed Kiki, my faith in humanity and facebook will be restored. P.S I never doubted you, Interent. Thank you to everyone who has posted a picture or link or what-not. Means a lot. I’ll keep you frengers posted.
Kitty Watch 2011 Update: no more search, just party. Annie is home and safe. Big thanks to Chowlupa (Luana), Tito and the people that took her in. Social Networking is a magical thing. A lot of honorable mentions, you know who you are.
Renting Follow That Bird and getting hammered on Kitty Cocktails tonight. It’s a celebration, biznitches.
